Blind Carpenter Builds Houses for Habitat for Humanity

This article is from Zoomed In, the AI Squared blog:

Mike DeZinno is certified in geothermal engineering and design, loves to build and fix most everything, and is heavily involved with the organization Habitat for Humanity.  Did I mention he does all this while being blind?

It all started from his childhood where he would tinker with appliances around the house.  He kept taking it one step further from taking apart the dishwasher to the furnace, to learning both the construction and car repair trades.  He now refers to himself as “America’s Blind Tradesman.”

“I just got tired of being told ‘No, you can’t…you shouldn’t…there’s no way”,” said Mike in a news interview.  ” I just found ways to do the job.”

Check out Mike’s YouTube page where you can tune into his construction tips or see him interviewed on his local news channels.
